Mainz, 23.07.2025 (PresseBox) - Leading international abrasives manufacturer Tyrolit is relying on the Lino® Hub integration platform to digitalize its production - with considerable success. The seamless connection of CAD, CAM and ERP systems has eliminated manual intervention, increased process reliability and shortened production times.

This was triggered by the introduction of a highly automated machining center, which could only develop its full potential with consistent, automatically generated CAM data. Together with Lino GmbH, a digital process chain was implemented: from customer requirements to configuration and design through to CAM programming.

“Today, we generate complete 3D and production data at the touch of a button - without any media disruptions,” reports Florian Zitt, Process Engineer at Tyrolit. The solution enables flexible, economical production of even the smallest batch sizes and, thanks to automation, reduces the workload in engineering - a decisive advantage in view of the shortage of skilled workers.

The link with SAP® S/4HANA® via the Lino Hub integration platform in conjunction with Lino® Automate enables the generation and provision of all production-relevant data - particularly the automated creation of CAM programs. The Schwaz site now serves as a model for other plants in the company.
